Qualifications

• Current MN teaching license in elementary education for grades K-6.
• Ability in culturally responsive teaching.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Familiarity with varied learning strategies and multiple approaches.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to design and coordinate curriculum and testing/assessment designs.
• Design and assess K-12 student learning; develop scope and sequence; coordinate within a department.
• Create instructional objectives and activities.
• Conduct classroom instruction and tutoring to meet individual needs.
• Assess student performance and adjust instruction as needed.
• Foster a supportive learning environment using appropriate reinforcement techniques.
• Prioritize tasks for efficient use of time and resources.
• Identify and avoid potentially harmful situations for students.
• Evaluate student abilities to guide educational planning.
• Provide guidance on educational/career options when appropriate.
