The role requires an associate degree or 60 college hours, or a high school diploma with GACE Paraprofessional, plus Georgia Paraprofessional Certification. Reports to the Principal and includes light physical duties and routine data tasks.

Qualifications

• Educational Level: Associate degree or 60 semester hours; OR high school diploma with GACE Paraprofessional.
• Certification/License Required: Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate incl. in-service training.
• Experience: None
• Physical Activities: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds; move mats; assist students on floor.
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Exhibits professionalism and appropriate appearance.
• Follows policies and procedures at county, state and federal levels.
• Conducts small group or individual activities based on lesson plans.
• Assists with supervision of students.
• Assists with student assessment, grading, and data collection.
• Assists with routine record keeping and preparation of instructional materials.
• Locates, operates, and returns classroom equipment.
• Assists with classroom housekeeping and inventory management.
• Supports school-wide supervision such as bus loading/unloading.
