Job summary

New London Public Schools is seeking an experienced Elementary School Teaching/Instructional Coach at Nathan Hale Arts Magnet School. You will strengthen instruction, align with CT Frameworks, and support teachers with coaching, demonstrations, and professional development.

Candidates must hold a CT educator certification and have at least five years of teaching experience. Bilingual Spanish or Haitian Creole is a plus; strong leadership and collaboration are valued.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education educator certificate.
• Minimum of five years successful teaching experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of effective instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen and align instruction to CT State Frameworks and district standards.
• Provide content knowledge, coaching, demonstrations, and professional development.
• Plan and support teachers in implementing a standards-based curriculum.
• Assist in school improvement planning to raise literacy and math proficiency.
• Conduct observational walks with the principal to identify strengths and weaknesses.
