Job summary

New London Public Schools is seeking an Elementary School Assistant Principal at Winthrop STEM Elementary Magnet School. The role reports to the Principal and offers a salary of $161,927 per year for a full-time, 12-month administrative position.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid CT teaching certificate with endorsement 092, at least five years of classroom experience, and demonstrated leadership at the elementary level.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education educator certificate with endorsement in area 092.
• Minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Experience leading at the elementary school level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overall school management including curriculum, magnet programming, and budget development.
• Lead in establishing school improvement goals and evaluating progress.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and community to strengthen engagement and learning.
