Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) seeks an Instructional Support Leader to drive classroom instruction and school improvement in elementary networks. The ISL will bring subject-area expertise (Math, ELA, Science, or Social Science) and work with principals, teachers, and leaders to implement CCSS and CIWP strategies.

Responsibilities include modeling best practices, designing PD, data-informed planning, and coordinating network initiatives to raise student achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Educational Leadership preferred.
• Illinois Standard Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Build day-to-day instructional capacity across a portfolio of elementary schools.
• Provide differentiated instructional support with administrators and teachers.
• Collaborate with Principals and Network staff to develop data-informed CIWP strategies.
• Design and lead professional development around CCSS implementation.
• Organize Network initiatives to improve instruction and achievement.
