Qualifications

License/Certification: Must pass the Paraeducator Test or have 48 college hours as required by KY law.

Responsibilities

Assist a certified teacher in providing instruction to individuals or small groups; monitor and report student progress.
Support students in developing independence with self-help and daily living skills.
Tutor individuals or small groups and maintain records of student progress.
Prepare and organize lessons as directed by the teacher; assist in administering tests and noting results.
Monitor and report behavior of students according to approved procedures; assist in labs and field trips.
