Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support Smith Elementary staff and contribute to a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include classroom support, lunch supervision, and program assistance.

Requirements include a minimum 18 years old with a HS diploma or equivalent, plus an AA degree or 72 credits or qualifying ParaPro/Paraprofessional scores. A criminal background check is required. This 183-day calendar position runs 11:15am–2:45pm.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold an AA degree or 72 college quarter credits or have passing ParaPro/Paraprofessional assessments.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff with instructional tasks and maintain an orderly classroom.
• May be assigned to lunchroom, library, before/after school programs, or office.
• Assist with crossing guard and playground duties as needed for elementary level.
