Job summary

East Elementary in Breckenridge, Texas seeks an Elementary Instructional Paraprofessional to provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. You will help prepare materials, conduct activities, and support classroom management.

Responsibilities include supporting instruction, supervising students on campus, assisting with testing, and coordinating with teachers and behavior staff.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree or 2 years of college; Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Instruct reading, writing, and mathematics; effective communication; ability to work with children.
• Experience: Some experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests or assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom; assist with inventory and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain administrative records and prepare required reports.
