Brilla Schools is seeking an Elementary School Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) Specialist in the Bronx, NY. The role focuses on delivering SDI-aligned instruction within ICT classrooms, collaborating with general educators to ensure access to grade-level STEM content, and leading IEP processes with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Active New York State teaching certification in Students with Disabilities or enrolled in a program leading to certification.
• Experience in urban elementary teaching with demonstrated results preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Spanish language proficiency (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Serve as the special education teacher in an ICT classroom in alignment with NYSED requirements.
• Collaboratively plan with the general education teacher using data to design instruction that embeds SDI to IEP goals.
• Co-teach using various models to maximize access to grade-level content.
• Write PLOPs and facilitate IEP meetings with the CSE.
• Progress monitor and document progress toward IEP goals at required intervals.
