Job summary

Calvert County Public Schools seeks a Building-Based Gifted & Talented Liaison at Plum Point Elementary School in Huntingtown, Maryland, to collaborate with the Coordinator of Advanced Learning and the school principal.

The liaison will help develop and enhance opportunities for high-ability learners to thrive, analyze student data, and serve as a liaison with parents and stakeholders.

Internal candidates only; starting date immediately; pay commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Calvert County Public Schools employee in good standing.
• Meet Maryland State Certification requirements or hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated skill in online and face-to-face learning and diverse instructional strategies.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong written and oral communication, and stakeholder relations.
• Ability to coordinate with teachers, parents, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Chairs the gifted and talented services school committee.
• Collaborates with the Coordinator of Advanced Learning to analyze test data.
• Coordinates enrichment activities and district-wide events.
• Communicates with parents and stakeholders about opportunities for gifted learners.
• Oversees alignment with local and state regulations.
