Job summary

Bloomington Public Schools in Bloomington, MN, seeks an Elementary Chief - Class IV at Indian Mounds Elementary School. This skilled leadership position starts ASAP, covers 8 hours daily (6:30am–3:00pm), five days a week, 261 days a year, with a 12-month calendar.

The ideal candidate holds a 1st Class Boilers License (or can obtain within six months), plus HVAC and energy management system knowledge, computer skills, and the ability to lift 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must hold 1st Class Boilers License or obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and pass physical tests.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience maintaining HVAC/energy systems.
• Ability to manage budgets and supervise staff.
• Valid driver's license and dependable attendance.
• Flexibility in hours and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building and grounds year-round.
• Oversee preventive maintenance program.
• Operate and monitor energy management systems.
• Ensure HVAC systems are functional and efficient.
• Supervise staff and evaluate performance per guidelines.
• Manage department budget and resources.
• Maintain documentation and schedules.
