Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an elementary ESOL instructor to support multilingual learners in a contract role just outside Kansas City, MO. You will deliver targeted ELL instruction for grades K-5, collaborate with teachers, and help students build language skills and confidence.

The ideal candidate holds a Missouri K-12 ESOL certification, ESL/ELL experience, and strong understanding of WIDA assessment and instructional strategies, with the ability to differentiate for varying proficiency

Qualifications

Missouri K-12 ESOL certification is required.
Experience teaching ESL/ELL populations, preferably elementary.
Strong understanding of WIDA ACCESS and related instructional strategies.
Ability to differentiate instruction for varying English proficiency levels (WIDA 1–6).
Comfort supporting students who may also receive special education services.

Responsibilities

Deliver targeted, small-group ELL instruction for K-5 students (30+ students total; one group per grade level, four days a week).
Utilize Wednesdays for program management, curriculum planning, and coaching support for classroom teachers.
Assess students' English proficiency, monitor progress, and document growth using Missouri's WIDA standards.
Collaborate with staff to provide optimal language support and equitable access to instruction.
