Job summary

Denver Language School is seeking an English Teaching Assistant to support Lead English teachers in 3rd and 4th grade classrooms at the Whiteman campus, focusing on literacy development and targeted support for multilingual learners.

The role runs Monday–Thursday 7:15am–3:15pm with collaboration across English and Multilingual Education teams, 1:1 and small-group instruction, and ongoing progress monitoring through benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years experience with elementary students.
• READ Act Teacher Training or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and targeted instruction to support literacy development.
• Support multilingual learners with grade-level access and language development.
• Monitor understanding and progress during instruction.
• Assist with 1:1 and small-group assessments and testing accommodations.
• Collaborate with Lead English and MLE teachers on planning and interventions.
