Job summary

Foundations, Inc. is seeking an English Learner (EL) Specialist to support elementary multilingual learners in a collaborative school community. This part-time role offers direct ELD instruction, pull-in/pull-out services, and collaboration with classroom teachers to meet language goals.

You will review ACCESS data, monitor growth, and prepare progress updates and end-of-year reports. Location is Greater Philadelphia Elementary School, in-person, with compensation of $60.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania ESL Program Specialist Certification (or eligibility preferred).
• Experience working with elementary English Learners.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and progress-monitoring skills.
• Knowledge of WIDA English Language Development Standards and ACCESS for ELLs assessment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct English language development (ELD) instruction to elementary English Learners through push-in and pull-out services.
• Deliver individualized language support aligned with classroom instruction to strengthen reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, and academic language development.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop language goals, recommend instructional support, and monitor student progress.
• Review and interpret ACCESS for ELLs assessment data to inform instruction and monitor English language proficiency growth.
• Monitor student progress and maintain required EL documentation.
• Prepare quarterly student progress updates and end-of-year summary reports.
• Support compliance with Pennsylvania English Learner program requirements and collaborate with staff to ensure appropriate language accommodations and instructional supports.
