Job summary

Hmong College Prep Academy in Minnesota is seeking an Elementary ELL Teacher to instruct English language learners and support grade-level learning. The position is full-time and on-site, with a starting salary of $45,000 to $75,720+, with lanes based on position.

Reports to the Director of Teaching & Learning. Candidates must hold a MN ESL license for K-12 and a BA/MA in ESL or related field, with strong classroom management and differentiated instruction knowledge.

Qualifications

• Current MN teaching license in English as a Second Language for grades K-12 is required.
• BA or MA in ESL Education or related field is required; equivalence may be considered.
• Strong classroom presentation and management skills are essential.
• Knowledge of instructional technologies and reading/science of reading methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct the core curriculum areas for which employed; utilize instructional resources and technologies.
• Support MN Graduation and Common Core Standards; align with district and school goals.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain records; communicate with principal per district policy.
• Provide differentiated instruction to ensure student mastery and adjust based on data.
• Collaborate with families via calls, emails, and conferences; participate in professional learning communities.
• Supervise student activities as needed and participate in related duties.
