Job summary

American Leadership Academy is seeking an EL Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year at Ironwood Elementary, East Valley campus. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and an ESL endorsement on their teaching certificate.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the EL Coordinator, evaluating student progress, and implementing SEI models. A competitive salary, health benefits, PTO, and 401k options are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Arizona Teaching Certificate with ESL Endorsement.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the EL Coordinator to maintain, evaluate, and improve the district ELL plan and program.
• Evaluate student performance and adjust provisions to meet learning needs.
• Analyze and evaluate student progress and curriculum.
• Participate in EL team meetings.
• Implement co-teaching, pull-out, and push-in support services for EL students as appropriate.
• Assist with testing EL students for language proficiency per state guidelines.
• Communicate with parents about evaluation methods, student progress, and activities.
• Coordinate with School Administration on student progress and SEI model implementation.
• Design lessons aligned with English Language Proficiency standards for student level and proficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
