• Current Elementary Michigan Certification
• Current ESL Endorsement
• Knowledge of a variety of research-based instructional practices (such as Differentiated Instruction)
• Strong Classroom Management Skills
• Strong Mathematical Background
• Ability to disaggregate data for planning and prescriptive student educational plans (such as IReady Diagnostic, M-Step, Running Records, DRA)
• Strong Literacy Background
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse cultural, racial and socio-economic student population
