Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking a part-time, in-person Elementary Tutor to provide 1:1 tutoring in reading and math at our Wilmington center (19803). This flexible role offers after-school hours (weekdays and some weekends) with competitive hourly pay based on experience.

You will develop tailored lesson plans, use creative hands-on approaches, document student progress, and communicate with parents and teachers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience with elementary-aged students (excluding student teaching).
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt lesson plans based on student engagement, need, and skill level.
• Experience in working with students with learning differences a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tutoring for instruction in elementary reading and math.
• Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles.
• Use hands-on approaches to make reading and math engaging and relevant.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student sessions and progress.
• Communicate with parents regularly and with the student's teacher as needed.
• Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences.
