Job summary

Rochester Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support students under the supervision of the classroom teacher.

Responsibilities include monitoring lunch/recess and assisting with instructional tasks. Requires 60 college credits or an associate degree, or completion of Paraeducator Assessments; high school diploma or GED accepted. Applicants should have experience with elementary students and good computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 60 college credits and/or a two-year degree; official transcripts required.
• In lieu of credits or degree, Paraeducator Assessments may be completed.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with elementary age students.
• Flexibility and ability to cooperate in a team.
• Positive rapport with children and fair discipline.
• Regular, on-time attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
• May monitor and/or supervise students in the lunchroom and playground.
• Perform tasks within the level of responsibility assigned by supervisor.
