Job summary

Rochester Public Schools seeks a paraprofessional to support students under the supervision of a classroom teacher. You may monitor lunchroom and playground activities in all weather, and perform tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Minimum qualifications include a 60 college credits/2-year degree or a GED, with a high school diploma required. Computer skills and reliable attendance are preferred for collaboration with a school team.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with elementary age students.

  • Regular, on-time attendance is required.

Job Summary:

  • In lieu of college credits or degree, one can complete the Paraeducator Assessments. The passing scores in Minnesota are 65% and70%.

  • The test is available to applicants who are presented an official job offer from theRochester Public School District.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with elementary age students.

  • Positive rapport with children including the ability to correct inappropriate student behavior with fairness and consistency.
  • Regular, on-time attendance is required.
