Job summary

Ames Community School District in Ames, IA, is seeking an Elementary General Education Associate for the 2026-2027 school year. 20-25 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 9.5 months. Pay rate: $15.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to relate effectively to children with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with teacher directions and assignments.
• Support classroom teachers with materials and lesson prep.
• Maintain student records and daily documentation.
• Supervise discipline and ensure safety in classrooms and on grounds.
• Assist with health-related needs and basic first aid as directed.
