Job summary

Ames Community School District is seeking a Special Education Educational Associate for the 2026-2027 school year. The 9.5 month, full-time position is benefits-eligible and supports students under the supervision of an administrator and special education teacher.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional activities, managing behavior, keeping records, and helping create a positive learning environment that supports the personal, social, and academic growth of disabled students.

Qualifications

• Assist the teacher in education of students under supervision.
• Record keeping and daily documentation
• Interact effectively with students and staff
