Comanche Independent School District is seeking a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) / Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT) to provide structured literacy intervention and academic therapy to students with dyslexia.

The CALT/LDT will implement evidence-based strategies, conduct screenings, collaborate with staff, and support progress through high-fidelity, individualized instruction aligned to state guidelines and IDEA/504 frameworks.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in education or related field.
• CALT credential from ALTA or equivalent required.
• LDT credential preferred by Texas; valid Texas certificate with endorsements.
• Experience delivering structured literacy interventions and IEP/504 planning.

Mansioni

• Deliver individualized or small-group academic language therapy using approved structured literacy programs.
• Maintain fidelity to curriculum scope, sequence, and pacing.
• Track and document student progress with validated tools.
• Maintain service logs, goal updates, and required reports on district timelines.
• Collaborate with general education and special education teams; participate in team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with TEA, IDEA, and Section 504 requirements.
• Prepare and update CALT/LDT credentials; engage in ongoing professional learning.
