Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state CPR, AED, Playground, First Aid and Childhood Connects requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of the curriculum.
• Help maintain facilities to meet safety standards and laws.
• Maintain compliance with safety rules and inspections.
• Keep credentialing requirements current for the role.
• Speak with parents daily and answer questions.
• Support two-way communication between daycare staff, director and parents.
• Adhere to policies set by the director.
• Stay within part-time hours (≤30 hrs/week) or full-time hours (≤40 hrs/week).
• Prepare materials for instructional activities.
• Supervise and lead groups of children.
• Maintain a clean, orderly learning environment.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning duties as assigned.
• Ensure center equipment is maintained.
• Enforce classroom rules positively.
• Follow attendance, punctuality and dress code.
• Demonstrate initiative in duties and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Support the school system’s vision and mission.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
