Job summary

Alexandria-Public-Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute Custodian at Carlos Elementary School to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming building. The position runs during the late November–December period, with a 5:30am–4pm schedule and typically four 10-hour days per week, subject to change.

The role involves floor care, minor repairs, building security, and supporting events and activities. A high school diploma or GED and basic custodial experience are required, with compensation at $20

Qualifications

• Minimal experience in custodial or mechanical environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, scrubs, waxes floors and maintains cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Performs minor repairs and assists with equipment maintenance.
• Monitors and operates building systems; maintains security by locking/unlocking doors.
