Job summary

Crystal Lake District 47 in North Elementary School seeks a School Counselor/Social Worker (School-Wide) to provide early intervention for general education students whose social, emotional, or behavioral needs affect learning.

Responsibilities include collaborating with staff and families, coordinating with community agencies, and contributing to MTSS, PBIS, and crisis teams to foster a positive school climate.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or School Counselor.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with staff and parents about prevention and early interventions.
• Assist with referrals and communication with community or private agencies for evaluation or services.
• Serve on building/district teams (MTSS, PBIS, crisis teams) and support teachers.
• Support general education students to develop functional learning-related skills.
• Stay current with child development knowledge and best practices in social work and education.
• Plan trainings and communications to teachers, parents, and administrators.
• Act as a liaison between the community and school to promote a positive climate.
