Qualifications

• Must hold ISBE licensure including a valid School Counselor endorsement (PEL).
• Master’s degree in School Counseling required; School Social Work master’s considered.
• Strong knowledge of SEL standards, MTSS, trauma‑informed practices, culturally responsive approaches.
• Ability to analyze academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional data to guide interventions.
• Experience supporting students with SEL needs, behavioral supports, and academic planning.
• Experience facilitating collaborative teams and working with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group counseling to support students’ development.
• Coordinate 504 plans and oversee eligibility, accommodations, and annual reviews.
• Support MTSS/Problem‑Solving with data‑driven interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to plan supports.
• Deliver and adjust targeted SEL and counseling activities.
• Maintain confidential, accurate records compliant with district policies.
• Participate in crisis response, safety planning, and postvention as needed.
• Engage in district SEL initiatives and student wellness programs.
