Responsibilities include conducting educational assessments, facilitating IEP meetings, counseling students, collaborating with staff and families, and serving on crisis and problem-solving teams.

A Master’s/Specialist in School Psychology, licensure and endorsement, plus strong communication and reporting

Qualifications

• Master's/Specialist Degree in School Psychology or equivalent is required.
• Professional Educator License and School Psychologist endorsement are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of school psychology experience preferred.
• Strong communication and report writing skills are essential.
• Knowledge of special education law and testing interpretation is important.

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with staff and parents on program development, prevention measures, early interventions, and assessment of students' difficulties.
• Serve on building and district level teams (e.g., crisis team, RtI/problem-solving teams).
• Conduct valid educational assessments and communicate results to staff and parents.
• Facilitate IEP meetings, ensure paperwork meets legal standards, and represent the district to parents.
• Provide individual counseling and/or group experiences; participate in crisis intervention.
• Liaise between the community and school; stay current with research in psychology and education.
