Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 is seeking a School Psychologist to support student growth within the district schools. You will evaluate and counsel students facing educational, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges and collaborate with staff and families on appropriate interventions.

The position requires a Master’s/Specialist Degree in School Psychology, School Psychologist endorsement, and a valid Professional Educator License; strong written and verbal communication, and knowledge

Qualifications

• Effective positive interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluid report writing ability.
• Knowledge of standardized tests available at varying development levels.
• Knowledge of test interpretation and how results impact student performance.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures involving special education law.
• Minimum of 2 years school psychology experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Consult and collaborate with staff and parents about program development, prevention measures, and assessment of students' difficulties.
• Serve on building and district level teams (e.g., crisis team, RtI teams, student services teams).
• Conduct valid educational assessments and communicate findings clearly to staff and parents.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and ensure paperwork meets legal standards; assist with state reporting forms.
• Supervise the provision of special education services.
• Provide individual or group counseling to students and support development.
• Participate in crisis intervention planning and school-wide prevention efforts.
