Philip's Academy Charter School of Paterson is seeking an Elementary School Teacher – Leave Replacement to lead instruction for grades 1–3 under the supervision of the Assistant Principal. The teacher will create and manage varied learning environments, participate in professional development, and collaborate with faculty to deliver a rigorous curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required.
• Valid NJ State PK-3 or K-6 teaching certification.
• 1-2 years teaching experience preferred.
• Commitment to academic success for all students.
• Background check and safety certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead direct instruction in the classroom for whole groups, small groups, and individual students.
• Collaborate with grade level partners and staff to implement a strong curriculum.
• Monitor and manage student progress, academic performance, and grades.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate student grades in the grading platform.
• Analyze student data to inform instructional planning and decision-making.
• Use assessment data to plan targeted instruction and small-group interventions.
• Track and evaluate student progress to identify learning needs and adjust instruction.
• Communicate effectively with families to ensure home-school consistency.
• Develop a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
• Support co-curricular activities and supervision during recess, lunch, and hallway.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
