Job summary

Westridge Elementary in Ballwin, Missouri seeks a Classroom Assistant for a one-year term. The role supports the classroom teacher with learning activities, demonstrations, and supervision. Certs preferred; substitute cert required.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–3:00 pm, 30 hours weekly. Start ASAP; transfer eligibility for staff is noted. The position pays $17.94 per hour, or $18.69 per hour if MO teacher certified, with duties including assisting in learning packet development, classroom

Qualifications

Minimum of sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited college/university or Missouri substitute certificate.
Friendly, helpful attitude when working with students and staff.
Positive, caring manner with children.

Responsibilities

Assist the classroom teacher in daily activities and instructional support.
Help develop learning packets and instructional aids.
Assist with demonstrations, copying materials, and progress checks.
Support in routine activities such as drills, grading, and reinforcing learning.
Supervise students during lunch and recess as assigned.
Assist with field trips and resource collection.
Review lesson plans and align support with teacher goals.
