Job summary

Lubbock Independent School District is seeking an Educational Aide (General) to assist classroom teachers and support student learning in elementary and secondary settings. The position is nonexempt with a 10-month contract.

The role reports to Campus Principal, Assistant Principal, or designee. Responsibilities include supervising small groups, conducting one-on-one instruction, and performing clerical tasks to support the classroom.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Texas Education Agency paraprofessional educational aide certificate.
• Experience working with children.
• Ability to get along with others and follow directions while working independently.
• Computer/typing skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supervises small group student activities.
• Conducts one-on-one instructional activities.
• Performs clerical (instructional) activities for the classroom teacher.
• Distributes and collects instructional material.
• Assists in classroom management and supervision.
• Set up and assist with supervision of listening stations and/or centers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
