Job summary

The Lafayette School Corporation seeks a Substitute Cafeteria/Recess Supervisor at Vinton Elementary School. You will work Monday to Thursday and select Fridays when school is in session, from 10:00 to 1:30 pm, totaling about 14 hours per week.

Compensation is $13.88 per hour and you report to the Building Principal or their designee. Responsibilities include supervising students in lunch and recess, enforcing rules, and collaborating with staff while modeling professional conduct.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reasonably good health and able to be outside at all times of the year.
• Maintain a professional attitude and use appropriate language.

Responsibilities

• Line students up to enter the lunch line and bring them to cafeteria.
• Circulate in lunch room to assist students and monitor behavior.
• Monitor student behavior and take corrective measures when required.
• Clean spills and pick up trash in the lunchroom.
• Take students to play area and return them to class after lunch.
• Know and enforce lunch room, playground, hallway and restroom rules.
• Communicate behavior to building administration and teachers.
• Follow building emergency procedures.
