Job summary

Milford Public Schools seeks a Behavior Assistant – Long Term Substitute for Woodland Elementary School in Milford, MA. The position runs October 14, 2026 through January 14, 2027, with a tentative salary (TBD) and start date of October 14, 2026.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus experience with students with disabilities and behavior management training. CPI restraint training is a plus and training willingness is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous Special Education experience preferred.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Behavior management training preferred.
• CPI restraint training preferred.
• Willing and able to train.

Responsibilities

• Provide/support direct educational services.
• Work with students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with others in the classroom (sub-separate and/or inclusion).
• Create opportunities for generalization and maintenance of skills.
• Complete daily log as necessary.
• Maintain student notebook and materials in neat order.
• Participate in program meetings/trainings.
• Review progress on IEP goals.
• Support students in ADL (self-care & hygiene) as per IEP care plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Teacher and/or Administrator.
