Highland Park Elementary in Lees Summit, Missouri seeks an Interventionist to support students with behavioral needs. You will assist teachers, coordinate prevention and intervention services, and refer students to appropriate resources within the school.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families, staff, and administration to promote a positive learning environment. The position requires working through protocols, maintaining confidential records, and using consistent behavior management

Qualifications

• Experience with BIST model and CPI.
• Knowledge of child development and mental health issues.
• Ability to schedule activities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Assists teachers in managing students to maintain a calm classroom and support success.
• Communicates with students, parents and staff to address concerns and plan for student success.
• Facilitates prevention and intervention protocols for at‑risk students and resources.
• Intervenes with chronic offenders to de‑escalate and return to regular studies as soon as possible.
• Maintains lists and records in compliance with policies and requirements.
• Maintains presence on campus to raise awareness of program and support services.
• Provides individual and group support to students and parents.
• Responds to inquiries with information and direction as needed.
• Uses district approved behavior management techniques to support participation.
