SFUSD is seeking an Instructional Aide – Elementary Basic Skills to support students by implementing the core curriculum across kindergarten through elementary grades. You will plan lessons, tutor small groups, administer tests, prepare instructional materials, and maintain student records in a collaborative school setting.

• The strongest candidates will have familiarity with teaching methods, instructional media, test scoring, school organization, and school rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates competency in working with children, communicating effectively, and adapting to diverse urban environments.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to translate data into actionable goals.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning lessons and preparing instructional materials.
• Supervises and tutors individuals or small groups in specific skill areas.
• Administers tests, reviews and corrects assignments, and maintains pupil profiles.
• Operates and maintains instructional equipment and supplies; procures and stores equipment as needed.
• Maintains classroom discipline and supports positive learning environments.
• Renders first aid per safety procedures and reports incidents to supervisors.
