Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate/licensing the individual to teach in the specified grade levels, per WV Code.
• Criminal background check conducted per WV law.
• Meet WV Code qualifications for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Kanawha County Schools' standards-based curriculum based on WV Content Standards and Objectives.
• Implement adopted and supplemental academic programs.
• Incorporate 21st Century technology skills into instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to support inclusive learning.
• Coordinate designated co-curricular activities and field trips when assigned.
• Be accountable for individual student achievement and progress.
• Provide personalized learning and adapt as needed to meet needs of all students.
• Maintain classroom management and communicate effectively with students, parents, and peers.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Principal.
