Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate/licensing to teach in WV content areas and grade levels.
• Criminal background check conducted per WV requirements.
• Meet the qualifications outlined in WV Code §18A-3-2a.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Jefferson County Schools' curriculum based on WV Content Standards and Objectives.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with Policy 2419.
• Implement adopted and supplemental academic programs.
• Incorporate 21st Century technology skills in instruction.
• Monitor student progress toward IEP objectives and goals.
• Plan and implement designated co-curricular activities and field trips as assigned.
• Administer approved formative assessments and plan tiered instruction for reading and Math.
• Maintain professional work habits and adhere to the Teacher Code of Conduct; meet professional responsibilities.
