Job summary

YES Prep seeks an Assistant Principal to lead instructional improvement across a Houston campus. You will coach teachers, manage RTI processes, and oversee campus testing while strengthening family engagement and school culture.

The role emphasizes collaboration, professional development, and a commitment to YES Prep’s mission. A Bachelor’s degree, teaching certification, and leadership experience are required, with a Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• Teaching certification required
• Two years of exemplary instructional leadership and/or Grade‑Level Chair experience
• At least three years of exemplary teaching experience
• Administration and/or supervision experience is preferred
• Strong collaboration and feedback skills

Responsibilities

• Manage progress toward higher student achievement for a cohort of teachers using assessment data to improve instruction.
• Coach campus Interventionists and leaders responsible for targeted instructional support.
• Observe classrooms, coach teachers, and monitor progress of staff.
• Plan RTI steps and case management to build strong academic mindsets and results.
• Lead professional learning days and campus testing to ensure accuracy and fidelity.
• Provide leadership and resources on school culture, discipline, and family engagement.
