Job summary

Manor ISD is seeking an assistant principal to support the campus’s instructional program and operations. You will collaborate with the principal to lead curriculum implementation, staff development, and student achievement while promoting a safe, inclusive environment for a diverse school community.

The role emphasizes leadership, relationship building with students, staff, parents, and community, and adherence to district goals and policies.

Qualifications

• Texas Mid-management certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate educational programs; support innovative instructional programs when appropriate.
• Promote the use of technology in teaching and foster a positive climate for learning; ensure equity and fair treatment of diverse groups.
• Develop campus improvement plans; maintain information systems to track progress on performance goals.
• Observe and evaluate staff; assist principal in interviewing and orienting new staff.
• Supervise operations in principal's absence; plan daily activities and schedules.
• Coordinate budget requests, procure supplies, and maintain records.
• Assist with safety inspections and coordinate support services; ensure student supervision.
• Comply with laws, policies, and district rules.
• Help develop a scholar discipline system; ensure fair discipline.
• Participate in professional development and engage with the community.
• Demonstrate Manor ISD People Experience.
