Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in Art area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Plan and implement a program of study in visual arts that meets student needs and district standards.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
• Create a classroom environment that engages students and achieves learning objectives.
• Communicate objectives to students and assess progress through tests and assignments.
• Maintain inventory of art supplies and ensure safety of equipment and materials.
