The position requires a teaching certificate, a Bachelor’s in education, and 3+ years of elementary teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of best practices in gifted education, including identification and instruction.
• Understanding of NC AIG Program Standards and gifted education standards.
• Ability to analyze student data and differentiate instruction for advanced learners.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Lead implementation of advanced elementary programming within the school.
• Build capacity with classroom teachers through professional development and collaboration.
• Embrace inclusive practices with AIG and advanced learners through co-teaching.
• Engage in collaborative planning with teachers and grade levels.
• Utilize gifted curricular resources and strategies for AIG and advanced learners.
