Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers, Inc. is seeking a part-time Group Leader for the 21st CCLC Elementary After-School Program in Manhattan/Bronx.

You will facilitate engaging after-school activities for groups of 10–15 students, supporting academic and personal growth while ensuring safety and structure during all activities. Responsibilities include leading enrichment, coordinating with Site Manager, documenting attendance and compliance, and participating in required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age 18 with at least one year of college or post-high school experience.
• 2 years+ of experience working with school-aged children in educational or youth development settings.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate enrichment, recreation, and academic support activities.
• Lead and supervise groups of 10–15 elementary-aged students.
• Support a safe environment by implementing positive behavior strategies and conflict resolution techniques.
• Submit lesson plans and activity outlines as directed by the Site Manager.
• Document attendance and compliance information for NYSED/DOH.
• Collaborate with staff to support student engagement and transitions between activities.
• Participate in required professional development and trainings.
