Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers' Wediko NY program is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to lead the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) After School Program at Campus 102 in the Bronx. While the after-school program runs October - June, this position is a full-year role.

The Program Coordinator will oversee scheduling, staff supervision, data tracking, family engagement, and compliance with NYSED and grant requirements for 212 participants across two campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, or related field.
• Meet SACC Site Supervisor qualifications within 60 days.
• At least 2+ years working with school-aged children, with 1 year in leadership.
• Familiarity with DOE schools, SACC, and 21st CCLC program requirements.
• Experience with community schools or wraparound services is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems creatively.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
• Ability to respond calmly to high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency with basic digital platforms for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Lead full implementation of the 21st CCLC program at Campus 102 across two schools.
• Plan enrichment activities, academic supports, and SEL programming for 106 participants per cohort.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with school-day priorities for both schools.
• Oversee daily arrival, transitions, dismissal, and supervise part-time staff.
• Coordinate staffing and adjust schedules as needed.
• Manage enrollment, attendance, and demographic data; ensure timely data entry.
• Ensure compliance with NYSED and grant deadlines; maintain files.
• Serve as liaison among afterschool staff, DOE personnel, families, and partners.
• Coordinate family outreach, events, and service connections across campuses.
• Collaborate with school leadership for coordinated service delivery.
• Recruit, onboard and supervise staff; coach and evaluate.
• Ensure safety protocols and grant compliance.
• Create coordinated program schedules and calendars for both schools.
• Lead family engagement events and student showcases.
• Oversee inventory and ordering of supplies; manage OTPS budget.
