Qualifications

• Valid NM Public Education Department teaching license with elementary endorsement.

• Bilingual endorsement preferred and/or required based on assignment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of elementary instruction, child development, curriculum and assessment.
• Cooperative, professional, flexible and able to perform assigned duties.
• Ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
• Knowledge of instructional technology and student data systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned to NM Content Standards and district expectations.
• Teach reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, health, PE, art and other elementary areas.
• Develop differentiated lesson plans and materials for diverse learners.
• Incorporate bilingual instructional practices and language supports as appropriate.
• Maintain lesson plans and instructional documentation as required.
