Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New Mexico Public Education Department PreK–3 or K–8 license.
• Certified in all assigned content areas and grade levels.
• Bilingual endorsement preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and foundational literacy/numeracy instruction.
• Ability to implement differentiated instruction and support diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned to NM guidelines and district curricula.
• Teach kindergarten subjects using district-approved materials and engaging methods.
• Develop lesson plans with hands-on, play-based learning and student engagement.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse developmental needs.
• Use small-group supports and interventions to maximize growth.
• Incorporate bilingual practices when appropriate and applicable.
• Create learning experiences promoting independence, curiosity, and collaboration.
• Maintain documentation of lesson plans and instructional activities.
