Job summary

Mandan Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. The position is full time and follows the school calendar, with a full benefit package for employees working 30 or more hours per week.

The paraprofessional role supports teachers and assists students with special education needs in classroom settings, helping with behavior, learning tasks, and IEP-related activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Paraprofessional certification from North Dakota DPI is required for Title 1 Schools.
• A valid North Dakota driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to follow MPS policies and classroom procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with programing special education in classrooms and support teachers.
• Support students with learning tasks and IEPs under supervision.
• Monitor and guide student behavior; maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with lesson preparation, materials, and clerical duties as needed.
• Supervise students in various settings to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
