The EP Technologist requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology in a safe patient care.
The EP Technologist demonstrates an expert knowledge of radiological equipment and safety, shielding techniques, expert imaging skills and X‑ray equipment trouble‑shooting skills, analyzing, 3D mapping and recording equipment and other equipment utilized in the Electrophysiology Lab, and performs unit‑based activities, which contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
The EP Technologist demonstrates the ability to function in all of the positions with the exception of nursing. Essential information is shared through documentation and verbal communication.
