Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse 1 (T&RC) for the Electrophysiology Lab on a full-time days schedule. The role requires NY RN licensure, cardiology experience, and ACLS certification, with preferred BSN and acute care background.

The RN will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team in a high-acuity electrophysiology setting. This position includes standard hospital benefits and a structured orientation.

Qualifications

• Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State.
• Cardiology Experience and ACLS Required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least one year of hospital acute care experience preferred.
• Critical Care Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and coordinate care with other health disciplines.
• Develop individualized care plans including teaching and discharge planning.
• Administer direct care and medications as needed.
• Practice infection control and maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to RN/Clinician.
• Maintain written care plans and document patient education responses.
• Collaborate with staff and departments to ensure quality care.
