Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse 1 (T&RC) for the Electrophysiology Lab on the Day shift. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating treatment, and ensuring patient education and safety.

Required NYRN licensure with cardiology experience and ACLS; a BSN is preferred along with acute care experience. The position includes standard hospital benefits and a structured orientation.

Formación

• Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State.
• Cardiology Experience and ACLS Required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred) and at least one year of hospital acute care experience (preferred).
• Only licensed nurse experience in an acute care facility will be counted toward RN1 experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patient condition and coordinate nursing care with other health disciplines to integrate nursing with the treatment plan.
• Develop a written, individualized care plan including teaching needs and discharge planning.
• Administer direct care and medications as prescribed.
• Maintain infection control and a safe environment.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the Charge RN/Clinician and document in medical record.
• Develop and maintain current written plan of care; set priorities with patient/family.
• Provide patient/family teaching documentation and ensure alignment with physician instructions.
• Collaborate with staff and other departments; participate in quality assurance activities.
